About Dunwoody Georgia


The City of Dunwoody is a picturesque community featuring many of the metro-areas top dining, shopping, schools and recreation. Dunwoody is on  of the youngest cities in the metro-area, it officially became a city on December 1, 2008. The City of Dunwoody is settled along the northernmost tip of DeKalb County, is bordered by Fulton County on both the north and west, the south end is bordered by Interstate 285, and Gwinnett County on the northeast. The city offers its residents and edge on the Atlanta traffic due to its location. Dunwoody sits right on top of the perimeter, where the northern I-285 runs through. The city is also located near GA 400 which is a highly desirable area for real estate. Dunwoody is only 10 minutes from downtown Atlanta but offers its residents both city and suburban life.  

The Perimeter Center has formed around Perimeter Mall is home to many office buildings, restaurants, shopping centers, and is considered to be the ?business district´ of Dunwoody. The Dunwoody MARTA station is located in the Perimeter Center as well.
